No date for restarting Kosovo- Serbia

The European Union has not yet set a date for the resumption of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. At the European helm, they say the next summit will be called as soon as conditions are created, and that is claimed by the Government of Kosovo. While, the Vetevendosje Movement is demanding complete stop [...]
Chief spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Peter Stano in a response to Kosova Prees did not reveal what topics will be addressed at the next meeting in Brussels, but says that dates and agendas will soon be set.
The “Dialog, following its resumption in July, is continuing and advancing with expert and high-level political meetings. The next summit of high-level dialogue will be called to Brussels as soon as possible, depending on when conditions allow. When it comes to meeting at the expert level, we will announce the date and agenda of the upcoming meeting whenever the appropriate situation”, he says.
And Prime Minister Hoti's political adviser, Antigona Bajzak, says of Kosova Preress, that the upcoming meetings in Brussels are being dictated only by the Devi 19 pandemic, not by any other obstacle.
There is no proposed date for the next appointments right now, because everything is being dictated by the C-19 pandemic situation. Otherwise, working groups are continuing preparations for meeting technical groups, once circumstances arise. There is no other obstacle”, she expressed through a written answer to Kosova Preris.
The best solution for Vetevendosje Movement MP Artan Abrashi is only after new elections resume dialogue with Serbia.
The best solution in these circumstances is to stop this dialogue. Having a government that is strong, has legitimacy and stems directly from the will of the citizens. Otherwise, the Hoti government has neither opportunities nor numbers, nor knowledge nor anything to protect Kosovo's interest in this” process, he says.
Meanwhile, Allen Meta from D4D says dialogue should resume, as neither of the two countries enjoys keeping the frozen conflict between themselves.
“Dialogue is the best solution to problems. Neither Kosovo nor Serbia have the luxury of maintaining a frozen conflict among themselves. For the benefit of citizens, and also for the future of the two countries within the EU is very important”, he says.
The meeting in September has been the last between Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq. At first, differences were spread to establish the Association of Serb municipalities in Kosovo, and eventually with the arrest of former KLA leaders by the Special Court, there were demands that dialogue be suspended by the ruling coalition partners themselves.
