Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has reacted following the incident that took place today at the Kosovo Assembly session between deputies of the Democratic League of Kosovo and deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement.
Hoti has called the conduct and language of some MPs unacceptable and has praised such behaviors as out of public communication standards.
And Hoti has tried to reason after numerous criticisms today for missing the Parliament hearing. He has said he has held closed-door meetings with MPs and has cited mechanisms engaged in the subject of the undiscovered.
This is Hoti's full reaction:
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Avdullah Hoti, assessing the behaviour and language of some Kosovo Assembly deputies during the intervention over the issue of the found out under the Washington Agreement.
Prime Minister Hoti emphasises that such behaviors are outside any standard of political communication, and especially today when the topic of debate was the fate of the undiscovered, this very sensitive issue for our society, which is being dealt with with with with with very devotion by the institutions of Kosovo.
Prime Minister Hoti, in addition to today's intervention, a few days ago, regarding this topic, has held a closed-door meeting with MPs from all parliamentary political subjects, members of the Commission for Human Rights, Gender Equality, Invisible Persons and Petitions, where he has announced in detail the commitments of all relevant institutions dealing with the fate of the undiscovered.
We remind you that in this very sensitive and complex process there is a network of institutions and mechanisms operating in full co-ordination among them:
• The Prime Minister's Office, through the Government Commission for Missing Persons,
• Kosovo police, through the War Crimes Investigation Sector,
• Institute of Legal Medicine,
• The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo,
• Group for missing persons (for dialogue with the Serbian side),
• International Red Cross Committee (ICRC)
• The International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).
Prime Minister Hoti reexemplifies that the commitment to lighting up the fate of the missing from the last war in our country has not been absent from any government until now, especially now, when support and pressure from the international community has increased so that this issue can be closed down.
