Kosovo National Institute of Public Health Chairman Naser Ramadani has talked about the current epidemiological situation in the country. He says the situation has deteriorated in recent days because citizens are not adhering to the recommendations for wearing the mask, distance and personal hygiene.
“Sites on the ground are heavy with increased cases, especially in the last two weeks, and given that these cases have been added virtually by not adhering to the measures, not adhering to the recommendations almost in most sectors involved in public, private institutions, including some parts of the cities, neighborhoods, local cafes, even sports cafes, whether culturally or so, has caused the situation to accumulate in such a disturbing number of Kosovo's National Institute and health institutions that we have added the last two weeks' cases, and that have not been added to the implementation of any time from each of Kosovo's private television, the report said.
The “Every citizen of the Republic of Kosovo has the obligation to correctly implement the recommendations of the IKSHPKCE already broken up in a separate manual”, he points out.
But do we have an outbreak of the virus in Kosovo?
“Everything must be taken into account and any factor said to influence the increase in cases must be taken into account. If citizens don't take it seriously there will be an increase in the coming days”, Ramadani said.
The National Institute has taken on a special commitment under the overall strategy of the state of Kosovo to control the epidemiological situation. Especially have we perfected a special strategy and methodology for monitoring and keeping schools open”, Ramadani told Kosovo public television,
“Schools will continue to be open in any possible variant that may occur in the epidemiological situation in Kosovo. This is promised by the epidemiologists of ICH. Schools will survive unless something unexpected happens that no one has imagined, not only in Kosovo, in the region or in Europe”, he added.
