Political differences required for the sake of Kosovo's EU integration

Kosovo's integration into the European Union is the basic principle on which people's elected should work, while the national plan for implementing the SAA is urgent work of the Commission for Stabilisation and Association EU-Kosovo. So it was said on the occasion of the contracting this commission on Tuesday morning. Kosovo Assembly Speaker Vjosa [...]

Kosovo Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani said the burden of this commission is too big, since, as she said, it is necessary to overcome political differences and have full access to EU policies.

She also talked about the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, which she said Kosovo takes on a host of obligations for reforms in terms of establishing a functional market economy.

“Its Agreement Aims to Adjust Kosovo Reports - The EU, from signing day to day of full membership in the European Union, aims to support Kosovo's economic transition and strengthen its integration into the European Union market. [...] The weight of this commission is very large and is directly linked to the success of our country's journey towards the European Union, and that would have to be the basic principle on which we all work together”, she said.

The chairman of this commission, Arben Gashi, announced the short term plans of this commission, as he added that until next week what they can do as commissions related to the Stabilisation and Association Agreement should be seen.

“What awaits us most urgent is the national plan for implementing the SAA, which has come from the Government of Kosovo. It was yesterday in order of the day in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly, it was reviewed in advance at the European Integrity Commission since this commission has not been constitutionalised. I had asked you as colleagues to read it and examine it until next week and see what we can recommend as commission”, Shala said.

While the MP The PDK, Enver Hoxhaj, requested that recommendations in Kosovo's interest that should be passed to the European Council have the support of allied countries, through communication with members of the Commission on the part of the European Parliament.

“What I'm trying to say is that the list of these European friends can be functional and in Kosovo's service if we now see what the recommendations are and what can be approved”, he said.

The joint Parliamentary Commission for Stabilisation and Association of the EU Kosovo, which was established today with new compositions, has in the past held 6 meetings, of them 3 in Kosovo and 3 in Strazburg. Such meetings are held twice a year, while the next meeting is scheduled to be held on 25-26 November.
