The pharmaceutical group”Pfixer” and the German company” BioNTech” confirmed today that they will deposit a request for market access to their vaccine against the US Medical Agency (FDA) COVID-19, becoming the first producer to do so in the United States.
The announcement had been expected since several days, after publishing the clinical test results, conducted since July to 44,000 volunteers in many countries, and under which the vaccine would be effective with 95% to curb COVID-19 without serious side effects.
The FDA did not elaborate on how long it will take to examine the data, but the American government has given the green light for the first half of December.
