Open lines allow for verification of military movements and weapons control measures of signatory countries.
Current President Donald Trump has accused Moscow of violating an agreement signed by 34 countries.
Several European countries, including France, Germany, Belgium and Spain, have expressed regret at the decision, though they share US concerns about implementing the deal from Russia.
“Cides open” is one of the international agreements the American president decided to withdraw from after the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program was cancelled in 2018 and the mid-ray missile deal was canceled in 2019.
