The son of former President Thaci, Andrew Thaci, through a statement sent to the media, has expressed deep gratitude for the continued support and concern that citizens are showing for former President Thaci.
This is the full statement of Andrew Thaci, son of former president Thaci:
Dear citizens, dear family,
On behalf of the Thaci family I thank you all for your support and solidification in these days not easy for our family.
We are deeply grateful for the great support and unabated concern you have shown and continue to tell of my father, the founder of the KLA, the president of our country.
We are all indignant and frustrated, but we are also very convinced that just as he has worked and has always been able to protect the war of the KLA, our people, and our country, together with his fellow fighters will know how to protect him even now against these monstrous accusations that are unjustly weighing upon them.
No process could tarnish the Kosovo Liberation Army, which was and will remain forever holy.
Our family is very proud of the contribution for these three decades of our son, brother, husband, and father to freedom, independence, and statehood.
We believe in international justice and are convinced that no claim, however malicious, can change the glorious history of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
Stay Strong and United!
We would like to wait for you all in our home and say thank you from the heart. We are honored with your support, word and visit. But we would like to ask that even in these days, right now, we will take care of our health and not allow more pandemics to spread. It's time to meet together again.
Thank you very much, everyone.
Bye soon!
With much respect,
Andrew H. Thaci
