Lady Nagavci at the beginning of the conversation stops at the recent events that are occurring in Kosovo and gives her her opinion on them.
To be honest, emotions are mixed, it is certainly very difficult to see representatives of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in such positions. And on the other hand, since I am one of the many people who have stayed in the war in the Republic of Kosovo, it has been very painful and difficult to see that people, who represented The NLA is in a position where they are being tried or charged with crimes that we have actually experienced as citizens, as a people,” -- says Mrs. Arberie.
This situation has caused Kosovo to be in the attention of international media, and this for Mrs. Arberie has major implications for Kosovo.
“They do not in fact present reality because responsibility is individual and justice should be put in place for each case without exception, and we hope that justice will be finally introduced in this case,”- shows Arberie Nagavci.
During the process, what was observed is that political leaders who are facing charges have been unprepared for this situation. Mrs. Nagavci relates why this happened without preparation.
The alleged “is the chief of our parliamentary group, Mr. Rexhep Selimi. He was convinced he didn't need a lawyer because he was convinced that his commitment all the time of the war was entirely for idealistic, patriotic, national reasons, and he believed he could prove his innocence himself. We trust and recommend that he hire a lawyer.
While the question of whether parliament will help with the court spending, Mrs. Nagavci has indicated that a budget of 20m euros has been allocated in 2020 for this reason.
