A month's detention for the beating of his mother and sister

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has appointed a month of detention against the M.Z., which exercised violence against its mother and sister.

Through a media communiqué by the Constitutional Court it becomes known that M.Z. defendants It has been assigned the detention measure in length of 1 (one) month, which will be held at the Forenzic Psychiatry Institute, until it is given psychiatric examination from 13,11.2020 to 12,12.20, since it has concluded that the criteria were met under Article 187 par. One under the front. 1.1 and 1.2 points1.2.1, 1.2.2 and 1.2.3 related to Article 509 par. 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 of KPP.

The court has estimated that the detention measure is an adequate measure for the unhindered development in this criminal case, since there are circumstances that demonstrate the risk of having the M.Z. defendant found in freedom can prevent the course of criminal procedure by affecting those who could endanger their lives or health, and there is danger that there can be a repeat or other criminal acts.

The M.Z. defendant, due to disagreements with those who damaged his mother and sister, had practiced constant physical and psychic violence against them and, as a result, caused bodily injuries, feelings of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty about life.

The sides have a right to a complaint against this decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeal.
