(6 years ago)Kosovo's Statistics Agency has published statistical material on economic companies in Kosovo for the third quarter of this year, reportedly in the third quarter of 2020, 2 593 companies have registered. According to the AKS, in terms of the most preferred economic activities in this quarter were: Major and retail trade, automotive repair, motorcycle repair, 597 companies registered 23.02%, production with 302 registered companies 11.65%, accommodation and food services activities with 282 companies registered 10.88%, agriculture, forestry and fishermanry with 257 registered companies 9.91%, professional, technical activities with 235 registered 9.06%, construction with 231 companies registered 8.91%, etc.
During this quarter, in the category of 1 to 4 employed were a total of 1 511 registered companies (96.8 %); in the category of 5 to 9 employed were 51 Sosh (2.0%); in the category of 10 to 19 employed were 24 registered companies (0.9%); in the category of 20 to 249 employed were 7 registered companies (0.3%); while in the category of 250 and more employed, there are no registered companies. As for the geographical alignment of registered companies at the level of municipalities, as in every quarter the Pristina municipality dominates with 771 registered companies (29.7%); Prizren with 197 registered companies (7.6%); Ferizaj with 186 registered companies (7.2%); Paja with 141 registered companies (5.4%); Gjilan with 129 registered companies (5.0%); and Gjakova with 114 companies registered (4.4%). Meanwhile, other municipalities have smaller numbers of companies registered in this quarter said in the announcement.
