This is almost 95 percent of the 9.6 million voters who made it to this federal state in the previous elections in 2016.
Also reportedly voted slightly less than two million people, who are not in favour of either of the two main parties -- that Democrats and Republicans.
Melanie Trump, Republican candidate wife Donald Trump also voted in Florida. She was criticised for not wearing the mask during the vote.
Former US President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton have reported voting.
Hillary was a democratic candidate in previous elections when she lost to Trump.
Otherwise, locations in Florida will be closed at 7:00 local times.
