France's president, Emmanuel Macron, has asked Muslim leaders to accept the republican Charter of values to tighten even more radical Islam.
The Macron has given the 15-day ultimatum to the French Council for Islam Faith to accept this card. The republican Charter of values stresses that Islam is religion, not political movement. This charter prohibits foreign interventions in French Muslim groups.
The Macron has defended French secularisation after three terrorist attacks in recent months. The French president has also presented measures to combat what he has called Islamic separatism in France. These measures include a law aimed at preventing radicalism. Another measure is condemnation if public officials offend on religious grounds.
The French leader has urged France's Muslim leaders to pledge they will not allow any interference from Islamic countries. The media have reported that the meeting has also been discussed in the creation of a national imam council, which would be responsible for the approval of hotries in the country.
French Council of Islam leader Mohammed Mousavi and head of the Paris Mosque, Shams el-Din Hafez, have participated in the meeting, besides representatives of nine federations making up the French Council of Islamic Faith.
This body is chosen on a scale and commissioned to serve as an official mediator with the French state in connection with the arrangement of Muslim religious activities.
The French president reportedly stated at the meeting that it is necessary that “be removed from this confusion”, stressing that he believes a number of imams have mutual attitudes on these issues.
Theron has warned that “if some do not sign this card, we will draw conclusions”, adding that “has marked their proposals”.
A newly established imam council would not only be able to give permission to the imams, but it would also have power to withdraw those permits if it was considered that the hojaemen were violating the “Republika” Value Card, Macron requested.
Depending on the role of imams, they must have knowledge and fluent French and have academic qualifications of the university level.
Macron hopes that with the establishment of the National Imams Council, it will remove more than 300 foreign immas from Turkey, Morocco and Algeria within four years.
Teacher Samuel Paty's head cut off, who had shown the students the cartoons of the prophet Muhammad at the time of freedom of expression, has revived the debate on Islam in France last month.
The macaroni has protected the secularization, which forms the foundation of republican France and the re-publishing of controversial cartoons, inciting angry reactions from around the Muslim world. He is also accused of persecuting Muslims in France, with authorities recently acting on a host of organisations referring to the law on separatism. Macrone had earlier promised a campaign against “ilamism”, promoting contradiction and denouncing by the Muslim world.
Protests against Islamophobia erupted throughout the Muslim world, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mali, Mauritania, Lebanon, and Yemen. Direct clashes have occurred between Macroni and Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan.
