The raids by investigators from Specialised Chambers in former President Hashim Thaci's settlements, former PDK leader Kadri Veselini, MP Rexhep Selimi, are considered to have been carried out outside the rules, by lawyers licensed to defend cases in this court.
Lawyer Artan Qerkeyni says the raid must be carried out before the arrest of suspects occurs.
When an indictment is confirmed, it suggests that the investigation phase is complete. And the other attorney licensed by the Special Court, Kadri Oye, says that there have been ongoing encounters of specialised Chambers that have been contrary to the law.
The “continued to face this court in actions that conflict with the law, especially the cases of the detention, even though with the Law for Specialised Chambers with the Constitution of Kosovo, with the European Convention on Protection of Rights and Freedoms, the parties should be given access in a procedure as short as they can provide arguments concerning the privatisation of freedom”, Kadri Oye said.
Unlike Thaci, Wessel and Selimi, former spokeswoman UCK's Jakup Krasniqi was arrested after the raid ended.
