Vetevendosje MP Mimoza Kusari-Lila says they have votes to bring down the Avdullah Hoti-led government.
It has again criticised current governance, until it says the dismissal of the executive is necessary.
The Vetevendosje Movement parliamentary group has 31 deputies, while calling the session for the government's no-confidence vote requires 40 signatures. As long as a simple majority, or 61 MPs, is required to bring down the government of course. This government has not been functional in the sense of legitimacy in the Assembly for months now, there are basic problems, as of the 61 votes that voted this government a vote is in custody, or an MP is behind bars because of a criminal offence conducted earlier. There are continually divisions within the internal coalition”, Kusari-Lila told “Euronews Albania”.
In the meantime, we also have the Serbian List, which has declared that for reasons Mr. Hoti they will not participate in sessions and do not support the government and will offer votes to bring down the government. Meanwhile, we have all parliamentary groups dissatisfied with the current government, including deputies from the Democratic League of Kosovo, deputies from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and opposition party deputy, PDK”, she explained.
The problem says they only have to obtain signatures for calling the extraordinary session.
The key challenge seems to be coming to a session in which a point of the agenda will be placed, and this is the motion for the collapse of the government”, Kusari-Lila said.
The MP also expects votes from the LDK, the party from which Hoti comes.
“Deputes of the Democratic League of Kosovo, including Mrs. Osamani and Mr. Haxhi Avdyli, who are already ready to be expelled from the party but who have also been co-operating so far in Vetevendosje initiatives, or opposition parties”, she said.
