Today, Chairman Movement V. SUNDAY! Albin Kurti, accompanied by the task leader of the Movement Parliamentary Group, Mr. Lieburn Aliu, and MP, Mrs. Victory Pacolli, hosted the Chief of the European Union Office/EU Special Representative Ambassador Thomas Szunyog, his deputy, Mr. Ricardo Serry, and political adviser, Mrs. Blerta Beytullahu.
During the meeting, the current political situation in Kosovo was discussed, and the issue of electing the president. Mayor Kurti stressed that it is important that the new president be elected after citizens have spoken in a new democratic election process. Ambassador Szunyog underlined the importance of democratic functioning of institutions, a Assembly capable of adopting laws, the need to continue dialogue with Serbia, and the need for the advance and implementation of the SAA agenda.
Mayor Kurti announced that the European agenda of our state is important for the development and advancement of the state of Kosovo. Now when Kosovo is facing the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has on the economy, we most need developmental and support policies for citizens and businesses in the country.
