Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti has sent a letter to the elected president of the United States, in which he wished for his victory in the election.
That, Kurt made it known through a Facebook post.
Kurti has also mentioned dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, and the hope he has of Biden playing a central role in the process.
Kurti has even said that VV is similar to the values of the Beden campaign; which, according to him, are health care insurance, green economy, employment and education.
Full letter:
Dear President Beden,
On behalf of Movement V I am writing to sincerely commend you and Senator Harris for your choice as President and Vice President of the United States. I'm happy for your decisive victory, especially because this victory came after a long campaign and fought hard. Not only the depth and content of your ideas but also the dignified manner of your being a candidate have witnessed your human courtesy to the whole world, as well as a genuine respect for the standards of democratic legalisation.
As former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo and chairman of its largest political party, I also want to express my gratitude for your long history of accruing for the human rights of Kosovo citizens, as well as for your continued support for independence and its international recognition. In view of these efforts, I hope that your administration will play a central role in putting justice and transparency in all aspects of continued negotiations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia, with the aim of quickly advancing these negotiations towards the goal of full and mutual recognition.
Can't help but mention that Movement V EVENTION: It shares many of the same values that were essential in your campaign: providing high-quality health care for all citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic; laying the foundation necessary for a greener economy; providing equal opportunities in education and employment; and ending corruption and misuse of power in all their different forms. From whatever position I am in during your mandate as president, I hope to co-operate closely with your administration to help advance these common ideals and further strengthen the historical connection between our respective nations.
Just as you, one of your most distinguished ancestors, President-elect Abraham Lincoln, began his trip to the White House at a very challenging time for the country as he stated in the farewell Word in Springfield, “with a task ahead of me greater than what Washington had.” The task you face and indeed, the many challenges that all nations face in this difficult era are also great. Once again, I congratulate you and Senator Harris on your election triumph, which was crucial, and I wish you all success in facing these challenges as President and Vice President of the United States.
