The vaccine campaign against the coronary pandemic is scheduled to begin in January 2021. Health Minister Rudolf Anschober announced this Tuesday at a press conference that the first vaccines will occur in the elderly.
Houses of elders must begin vaccinating people over 65 years of age and with health staff.
Therefore, high-risk groups with pre-existing diseases, as well as medical nurses and doctors in hospitals, ordances, rescue workers and social services also have the highest priority of the vaccine.
The health minister wants to achieve a percentage of the vaccine coverage of over 50 per cent. The general population will also be vaccinated by the second quarter of 2021, Salzburg24 writes.
