On Competition The criteria that the candidates must meet are specified, the candidate/a must not have been convicted of criminal offence, with the decision of formal form; Be not punished for serious disciplinary violations under the disciplinary regulation of the police or the regulation of other state institutions within ten (10) for the last ten years, which is equivalent to the violations that determine in the Kosovo Police Discipline Law; Have the colonel's police degree, lieutenant colonel or major, at least five (5) years or so.
The competition remains open 15 days from the Day of Publishing in daily newspapers and on the Web site of MPB, ranging from 18.11.2020 to 02,12,2020.
Currently U.d. The Director General of the Kosovo Police is Samedin Mehmeti, he was appointed to this position following Rashit Qalaj's dismissal.
Former director Qalaj was dismissed for “poor performance”.
