A KLA veteran who wears uniform at 17

The idea of joining the war, in 1998-99 came from a small group of students who had a goal: to help friends and the liberation of the country.

I hadn't been 17 years old. We furnished with friends and friends in high school. So our organization was in school. It was the end of 1998 that we joined the KLA. Our activity was mainly in the Dukagjini Operative Zone... until my release I was part of the 137-Ghakova” Brigade, she said of one of the Kosovars.

Mimoza was wounded on May 7, 1999, during fighting on the hill of Chabrat in Gjakova. Her will for life led her to overcome this challenge by healing in the mountains.
