Despite the difficult situation caused by Pandemia Coddy-19, KEK has managed to overcome the previous plan.
KEK Chief Executive Chief Louis Imer says despite the age of coal extraction machines and power generation units, they have performed very well.
“Termo plant Kosova A, in the third quarter, has realised its output plan 107% despite its age. On the other hand, Kosovo B thermal power plant has implemented its production plan by about 116%. Moreover, the operation of these thermal power plants is also made by fuel supply, meaning that there is no obstacle behind it, and the coal division has carried out its plan by supplying the two power plants to the coal - powered corporation. This implies that with this good performance, service that is quality for the citizens of the country has been offered, and it is seen from this period that there is a stability in the supply of citizens with electricity”, Imer said.
Thanks to good performance at the Kosova B thermal power plant, the thermal power supply plan for Thermokos, which energy serves to warm the capital's citizens, has also been achieved.
However, all these results have been achieved thanks to the work and great commitment of all KEK workers.
“For this result, for this performance and for this work that has been done with full challenges this year, I cannot help but remember and thank all employees of the Kosovo Energy Corporation who have given and done the best possible amount of saving their colleagues, who have been chronically ill, releasing them from their jobs and covering up their colleagues' jobs, who have not let their absences operate or working with more capacity than the usual”, the chief executive chief of the EC, Lukmeri, IQ.
But the pandemic has not left without causing problems.
Because of this virus and taken measures, very important projects have been postponed for the company.
Some projects that have also influenced our projects, especially the electro-filtrate and denouncing project, which is a project funded by the European Union, where the sub-projects that have been our projects have been forced to postpone for a year. So as far as we're really talking about the objective is to start this project by next year, which will directly affect the quality and operation of this thermal power plant according to European Union standards in an environmental way, but also in the technical aspect of”.
U.d. of Kosovo Energy Corporation Chief Executive Chief Louis Imer has said both management and workers will continue to commit to producing electricity for all Kosovo citizens and thermal energy for all residents of Pristina who are locked up in the heating network.
