Italy expands regional restrictions

The Italian government has decided to implement stricter controls in numerous Italian regions, starting on Wednesday, while the country is trying to curb COVID-19's pandemic. Five regions -- Abruzzo, Basilica, Liguria, Toscana and Umbria -- are expected to recatgorize as areas “porkall” and submit to stricter anti-rules CO VID-19, reports ATS.
The measures include stopping travel in and out of these “areas, but orange” and among cities within the regions, except for work or health reasons.
Bars and restaurants will also be closed, except for home distribution service.
Today's data showed an increase in daily deaths from COVID-19 to 580, the highest figure since mid-April.
The number of daily infections was 35 098, as their total number is approaching one million (995 463), according to the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection Agency.
