Hoti, Macron discuss dialogue, support reconfirmed for Kosovo

Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti made a video conference with Republic of France President Emmanuel Macron today.

France's President Emmanuel Macron initially thanked Prime Minister Hoti and Ambassador Gashi for giving support to France on the occasion of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris.

Hoti, meanwhile, highly praised the precious contribution the Republic of France has made in supporting the construction state and strengthening the democratic institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

He announced President Macro's recent actions by the Specialised Chambers, which also brought President Thaci's resignation.

Prime Minister Hoti assured President Macron that, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo with dedication will fulfill all prior obligations and responsibilities with the Constitution and will be constructive co-operation with the international community. While parliamentary political parties are willing to find solutions in line with laws and the constitution.

President Macron welcomed the behaviour with dignity, maturity and high political culture of the citizens and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, following recent actions by the Specialised Chambers.

Hoti and Macron also talked about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process of reaching the final agreement, with reciprocal recognition, at the current borders.

Both negotiators also agreed to organise a high-level meeting about the performance of the dialogue process, according to the Paris Summit format.

Regarding visa liberalisation, Prime Minister Hoti and President Macron agreed that the following days, as part of the verification mechanisms, should be held at the level of experts who would be followed with the political summit between the two countries' interior ministers.

President Macron responded positively to the invitation of Prime Minister Hoti, for state visit to our country.
