Albulen Haxhiu, a member of Vetevendosje leadership in an interview for Online Economics, says this Parliament cannot elect the new president.
She says the new government and the president should be voted in by a new legislature.
“We have no name for president in the fact that this nation cannot choose a new president. Whatever a tendency to elect the president now is a tendency to prolong the life of the current government. We demand that the country go to extraordinary elections and the next Assembly elect both Government and the future president, Haxhiu has said.
That proposal by Ramush Haradinaj, who has declared candidacy for president, so that the PDK or VV can support it and the AAK can return the vote if they needed it for prime minister or Parliament Speaker has called it scandalous and with a tour approach.
In a normal country, such a statement by a presidential claim would be scandalous. Take it easy. You're looking for a vote. “version”. That's a tubar approach. Mr. Haradinaj does not deserve to be president, not only does he belong to the AAK, but he has been prime minister and we have seen his work. Vetevendosje does not support”, the former minister at Kurti Government has expressed himself.
According to her, Vetevendosje is to find a candidate for president who is out of politics, a figure with integrity.
Haxhiu has said that the Serbian president's statement, Aleksandar Vuciq, should not surprise anyone, since he is the same as at the time he was Milosevic's minister.
He said days ago that Kosovo and Serbia should sit down and talk, or there could be a new conflict.
But, Haxhiu more than Vuciqi's statement, the problem is seeing Kosovo's delegation in negotiations, which, according to her, has tried to clear Vuciqi's image. She also blames Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Kosovo's “Delegation in negotiations with Serbia has consistently tried to clean up Vuciqi's image, and the Government of Albania, and especially Prime Minister Rama, is responsible here. A statement by Vuciqi s'kına is surprising, but the approach the Kosovo government chooses is a problem. Dialogue must be interrupted, it cannot be guided by a government that does not have legitimacy. For dialogue to have concessions and there are, even within the political subjects that are in the” coalition, she said.
Haxhiu, who at the time of justice minister, had begun the Vetting process, which is continuing with the new minister, Selim Selim Selimi, but with some changes, says he does not expect from a Government full of scandals to bring this process forward.
