Haxhiu: Removal no candidate for president without going to the polls

Albulen Haxhiu, a member of Vetevendosje leadership in an interview for Online Economics, says this Parliament cannot elect the new president.

She says the new government and the president should be voted in by a new legislature.

“We have no name for president in the fact that this nation cannot choose a new president. Whatever a tendency to elect the president now is a tendency to prolong the life of the current government. We demand that the country go to extraordinary elections and the next Assembly elect both Government and the future president, Haxhiu has said.

Haxhiu has said that the Serbian president's statement, Aleksandar Vuciq, should not surprise anyone, since he is the same as at the time he was Milosevic's minister.
