Kosovo Gastronomers' Association Deputy Chairman Veton Zuka, in an interview for Online Economy, has said there are 13 thousand employees employed in gastronomy and that every day they are losing jobs.
According to him, they have reached a serious and unmanable state.
There are basically 13 thousand employees employed in gastronomy, and on the other side there are 30,000 and we have a drop and an exit of workers somewhere to 40 percent of gastronomy in Kosovo. It's a very bad situation for workers as well as for business”.
According to Zuka, the only solution for survival is subvention of wages and rents, otherwise gastronomia will be introduced into total collapses.
“The solution to survival is just the demand we have, the subvention of wages, the rent and state aid for bank interests and therefore to remove businesses from gastronomy from the red lines of banks”.
Otherwise this alone may be a contribution to a business survival. Otherwise gastronomy would have been in total collapse”.
From Friday to Friday, I take into effect new measures taken by the Government, where cities are divided into three areas.
High-risk red zone: High - risk diseases are those that have over 150 infected persons in 100,000 within a week. Here are the municipality of Pristina, Podujevo, Ferizaj, Gjakova, Gjilan, Peja, Mitrovica, Fushe Kosovo, Shpe and Obliqi.
In these municipalities, the prime minister said he had two actions taken: By 7:00 p.m., any economic activity is closed and the total restriction of citizens' movement is imposed, there will be hours of police in these municipalities, and exits to these municipalities are stopped until 05 a.m.
Green-risk low: The area enters low - risk areas of infection, with between 1 and 75 people infected in 100,000 people within the week.
In municipalities entering this lower risk area of corruption, economic operators will be allowed to work from 0500 to 8:00.
The area includes Istog, Malisheva, Rahovec, Skyright, Dragash, Mamushha, and Junik.
Public transportation in these municipalities will be allowed to work as much as 50 per cent of capacity.
Commercial centres in these municipalities will be able to work between 5am and 20. Hotelry and gastronomial activity is banned after 8:00, except for service” take with you” and “poros with mail”
Orange-dangered average: Middle - risk communities of infection are those that have between 76 and 149 infected persons in 100,000 inhabitants within the week. The municipalities, which are part of the orange area, are allowed to work from 05 a.m. to 6:00.
Hotel service and gastronomials are allowed to work between 5: 00 a.m. and 6: 00 p.m., after 600 hours of service “take along” and “poros with mail”.
The malls are allowed to work from 0500 till 6:00.
