Gashi: If you get an offer, The PDK is entitled to appoint president

Former Deputy Prime Minister Dardan Gashi has said that if the ruling coalition should make an offer to the Democratic Party of Kosovo; then the latter should be allowed the right to appoint the president.

In a show, he has stressed that the PDK should have a reason why it enters the coalition.

“The candidacy of the Democratic League of Kosovo has only one problem, regardless of who the LDK is in a relatively deep crisis, following divisions with the government's collapse and construction of the other government”.

If the prime minister's post is moved, the LDK will have difficulty garnering another 20 votes to vote another prime minister who is not LDK”.

Gashi has said he has never understood why the president's post for a political party is so important.

As a political party, only if you want to distance an individual you name it for president”.

“Persistence has blocked the process at this point. There's been no movement in any direction these weeks.

The “is a situation that can only be solved with this first combination [Haradinaj president with coalition votes plus the PDK]. All other options are more complicated”.

The name will be controversial. The PDK has to have a reason why it comes in, I believe it should have the right to propose the name of President”.
