Current President Donald Trump is hoping for another mandate, but for that he must defeat the Democrat and once vice president Joe Biden.
So far it has been confirmed that over 100 million Americans have already voted, making elections with the largest number of voters in the history of the United States.
But even after the polling station is closed, it would take hours to find out who won. And until overnight all votes can be counted, the winner is usually known if there are enough votes to confirm the outcome.
And because of the coronavirus pandemic, there has been an increase in the number of citizens voting earlier. Posting votes must first be verified by competent organs, and in some places they have already begun counting.
This means that in some countries it will take days to get the winner out in particular if they have a rough outcome with each other.
But when will we know who won the US presidential election?
If Joe Biden or Donald Trump have won, the first indicators will be possible in the early hours of Wednesday (November 4th). And if the score is rough, it'll take a few days.
And the states that play a big role in elections can give a mirror of how elections turn out. If Beden wins in Arizona and Florida, he'll surely seek the overall victory.
And if Trump wins in Arizona and Florida, that shows that elections will be much closer. The Democrats, according to all likelihood, will vote in the mail, until the Republicans prefer to go to the polls.
And the votes in the ballot boxes are counted faster, which means the states will initially report large figures for Trump. But when their votes are added by mail, it could be a return to the benefit of Biden.
