I appreciate the voters who participated in Podujevo and Northern Mitrovica on Election Day, even though there were restrictions due to COVID-19. Active involvement of citizens is important for a reliable election process and democracy. Good work was done by the Central Election Commission”, he writes.
Otherwise, the Vetevendosje Movement has been declared the winner of the elections in Podujevo, while the Serbian List on what was held today in northern Mitrovica.
VV) candidate Speed Bulqi has won without a run-off in the Podujevo municipality, receiving 51.64 per cent of the vote.
Bulliqi in these elections is followed by LDK's Nedhmi Rudari in 35.97 per cent, and the PDK in third place, where Naim Fetah received 12.40 per cent of the vote, the Metro newspaper reports.
Meanwhile, the Serbian List won convincingly in northern Mitrovica, where it received 89.86 per cent of the vote, followed by VV at 3.68 per cent, The PDK at 3.54 and Dusan Milunovic 2.92 per cent.
We remember that the Podujevo and North Mitrovica municipality announced the elections after the two former mayors, Agim Veliu and Goran Rakic, took office in the Hoti Government.
The elections were held under conditions different from the past, taking into account the situation with the pandemic.
