The general police officers will be implemented every night from 21 to 5”, President Regep Tayp Erdogan announced, adding that the police clock during weekends will be implemented between 21am Friday and 5th on Monday.

To combat a second wave of new coronary (COVID-19), Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdoğan announced new restrictions, including limiting the movement of citizens overnight within weekdays, as well as a complete restriction over the weekend, the Anadolu Agency (AA) reports.

The general police officers will be implemented every night from 21 to 5”, President Erdoğan announced after a meeting of the presidential cabinet in Ankara, adding that the weekend police hour will be implemented between 21 on Friday and 5 on Monday.

In addition, President Erdoğan said, for 20-year-old and younger persons, as well as for those over 65, public transportation will be banned. He also stressed that restaurants will operate only “services, take with you”.

Erdoğan said new restrictions will be in force since tomorrow.

On November 20th, Turkey announced a partial police hour only on weekends, ranging from 20 to 10, as well as other restrictions to curb the spread of the virus.

After the second wave of pandemic erupted this autumn, countries worldwide have restored restrictions in public health interest.
