Democratic Party of Kosovo MP (PDK) Blerta Deliu has reacted to European Union diplomacy chief Josep Borrell. That is because of his statements that Kosovo and Serbia should act in line with EU commitments and in line with their European aspirations.
She has said that Kosovo does not accept the advice of someone who denies its independence.
EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell must understand that Kosovo does not accept advice from its independence and citizenship unbelievers. It is becoming part of the Dacic campaign to undermine Kosovo's recognitions, and that goal is easily read to it. Borrell is mistaken when he is considering Kosovo naive enough to follow recommendations for reducing its international subjectivity, and much less disrupting US friendship with his advice. The connection and construction of diplomatic relations is the mutual will among independent states, and if Borrell wants to help in this direction it would do well to advise Serbia to open its Embassy in Kosovo”, it has written in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, Borrell said in response to a parliamentary question, he expects Kosovo and Serbia to act in line with EU engagement and in line with their European aspirations.
The EU's long position is that negotiations should find a way to resolve Jerusalem's status as the next capital of the two countries and that the aspirations of the two sides must be fulfilled”, Borrell said, adding that Jerusalem's “dispute is a matter of final status”.
“In line with UN Security Council Resolution 478 of 1980, which calls on all UN members to transfer their embassies to Tel Aviv, all embassies of EU member states, as well as the EU Delegation to Israel, are located at Tel Aviv”, Borrell has been expressed.
He recalled that Kosovo and Serbia view EU integration as their strategic aspirations.
“The EU expects the two countries to act in line with that commitment”, the head of EU diplomacy said.
