Disaster Management and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) announced that the number of people who lost their lives in Turkey's Izmir earthquake rose to 79, the Anadolu Agency (AA) broadcast.
In a Declaration AFAD confirmed that due to the earthquake, the number of people who lost their lives has reached 79, while the number of wounded in 962 broadcast Anadolu Agency (AA).
In the statement, 743 of the wounded have emerged from hospitals following needed treatments, while another 219 continue to address them. Rescue search works in Izmir also continue at 8 buildings.
After the quake, 1,120 post-implosures are recorded, out of which 43 are stronger than four.
