| German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned today of a difficult winter in terms of the COVID-19 situation, two weeks in a partial one-month closure, aimed at reducing infection figures.
The incoming “Dirium will be making big demands for all of us”, she said in her weekly podcast. “Virus will continue to dominate our lives for a long time”, Merkel added, stressing that this means that people cannot meet as easily as in the past. Her comments come ahead of a meeting scheduled for Monday with state representatives to assess the efficiency of the country's partial closure. / DPA/ |
