Hospitals have cancelled nearly all emergency procedures, and some have had to begin transferring patients to other regions.
However, Ladislav Dusek, leader of the USIA health data institute, told Reuters news agency that the worst scenario for overloaded hospitals has not materialised.
On Friday, over 8,200 coronary patients have been lying in Czech hospitals.
