Coronavirus - infected citizens in northern Macedonia who have mild symptoms and are healed in domestic conditions say that the disease COVID-19, which causes the virus, is very costly because it seriously hits the family budget, not only for the supply of medicines but also for many vitamins suggested by the doctor.
In addition, they mention high cosotons for providing disinfectation and cleaning of everything to protect the rest of the family.
The family economy is hit even more when two, three, or more people from COVID-19 are affected by the same family.
Sashka, 57-year-old Sashka, which is going through the coronary in domestic conditions and with milder symptoms, tells Radio Free Europe that the list of surveillance drugs, in addition to the antibiotics that my mother has suggested is long, such as taking more vitamins C, D Zink, Selen, to increase immunity, without forgetting and the drug that should accept against blood cocal (CLEXANE).
Her son Aleksandar Mladenov says that, fortunately, only his mother has been affected by COVID-19, as otherwise a minimum wage that her mother receives would not suffice.
From what your doctor writes to you as drugs should be taken during the treatment from COVID-19 on the positive list, which is covered by the state, besides the antibiotic, everything else must be bought privately. Then I have to add that my mother has to take the blood-small medicine for which we have paid more than 4 thousand denars (about 65 euros), tools that 70 percent return from the fund, but those tools can only be restored after my mother heals and apply to the fund, so we should have that money to do otherwise to borrow”.
“is then recommended to receive more vitamins that usually cost between 600 and 1,000 denars (10 to 15 euros), as well as probiotics to neutralise glucose from heavy antibiotics that he accepts for treatment”, Aleksandar Mladenov points to Radio Free Europe.
In northern Macedonia, the number of coronary infected exceeds 1,000 on a daily basis, while there are more than 21,000 recorded active cases.
Of them, over 1,200 are lying in hospitals, while more than 10,000 patients are cured in domestic conditions.
Under these circumstances, most patients complain that they are very hard to obtain the term for lung recording in state hospitals through mother doctor.
Most of them are forced to pay for blood mirror and chest recording to do in private hospitals for what is to be paid from 150 to 200 euros.
Health Minister Venko Filipce says there are no specific therapies in any country in the world for this virus so far.
The general therapy given to mother doctors is done under the clinical mirror and checks, and if the situation gets worse then that patient is lying in hospital”, says Minister Filipce.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy say that no citizen remains outside the health care system, and for every citizen health services have been provided, even for those who remain unemployed because of the pandemic crisis.
“is enough to use... respect the measures, prevent the disease, while all that presents serious health risks, the health system will need to absorb and respond to citizens' needs and requirements. It means that from here we make every effort to increase hospital capacities. In addition, for the social categories of citizens, in the part of the participation fee, in the health insurance section, we have the release of those citizens on the basis of unemployment, on the grounds that they are receptive to guaranteed social assistance, we as the Labour Minister transfers tools to the Serbian Health Insurance Fund”, says Radio Free Europe, Labour and Social Policy Minister Jagoda Shahpanska.
People affected by COVID 19 say that the problem in themselves has been isolation, since everything has had to be ordered online, adding that to defeat the virus, doctors have recommended that they take more vitamins, fruits, and fresh vegetables.
