One of them is Halim Krasniqi, who was also fired from Glauk Konjufca, former foreign minister and Melza Haradinaj Stubla, the current foreign minister. Krasniqi was suspected to have physically attacked an embassy maid.
Glauk Konjufca decided that Krasniqi would withdraw from the consul's duty since March 30th, but Thaci did not decree the verdict.
The same situation had happened with Foreign Minister Melza Haradinaj- Stublla. The same has sent Thaci the request to withdraw the consul from Tirana, but the latter has refused by reappointed him.
“1. Mr. Halim Krasniqi is renamed consul-general of the Republic of Kosovo in Tirana, the Republic of Albania.
2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo is charged with taking all necessary actions to implement this decree”, said in the decree dated September 4th 2020.
Halim Krasniqi, meanwhile, has been appointed consul since 2016, even though there were consulates in Tirana, but he worked near the embassy.
The chief of the General Consulate in Tirana, Halim Krasniqi, at the end of the mandate, has faced charges of physically attacking by a subordinate. Consulate's employee has complained that Krasniqi physically attacked him within the facility where the Kosovo Embassy is located in Tirana.
