Ali Reza Polat, 35, has been sick for days, and the judge to avoid infecting others has suspended court hearings.
Defence lawyers had to present their final defense in the coming days, and the decision could be made within two weeks.
Fourteen total persons are on trial for the magazine attack, as well as attacks linked against an effective police and a Jewish supermarket that left 17 people dead in three days. Three out of 14 are being tried in absentia.
