CEC: Even those infected with COVID-19, results known tonight

Central Election Commission spokesman (KQZ) Valmir Elezi has indicated in T7 that the right to vote is also exploiting citizens who are currently infected with COVID-19. He has also indicated that the results of the deployments will be known since tonight.

In the Podujevo municipality alone, according to official lists, somewhere around 500 people are infected with COVID-19. Of them, almost half of them have expressed the will to vote through the mobile team, which today goes to their addresses. At the same time, there were 21 citizens or voters in the Northern Mitrovica municipality who are on official lists as persons infected with COVID-19 and who are in domestic quarantine and from the contacts we have had, some half of them have expressed the will today to accept the CEC's mobile team so they can vote”, he said.

On the four-member team that goes to those infected with COVID-19 to enable them to vote, Elez has indicated that a representative of health institutions is also participating.

“One is representative from health institutions while visiting these people affected with COVID-19... If the voter does not have protective equipment, the others are offered”, Elez said.

Similarly, he has stated that there is no problem either with the necessary election material.
