United States President-elect Joe Biden said it is <x0turp” that President Donald Trump has not yet accepted the US election outcome.
How can I say this tactfully? I don't think it's gonna help the President's legacy”, Beden said at an event in Dellauer.
American media have predicted his victory Saturday, four days after the November 3rd presidential elections.
But, Trump has refused to admit defeat and, without bringing any evidence, has claimed the elections were stolen. Trump has called for recounting of votes and has warned of legal action.
Asked by journalists what his plan is if the Trump administration does not co-operate in the transition of power, Biden said:
” would be good if we had [administration co-operation], but it is not crucial. We would do exactly what we're doing, even if it was to accept loss”.
World leaders, including most American allies, have congratulated Beden on victory in the election.
Biden said on Tuesday he has talked to six world leaders “to show that America has returned”.
According to some reports, Biden, among others, has talked with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, France's president, Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
