By 4:30 p.m., the Democrat candidate, Joe Biden, has had the upper hand in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada and Wiscons, while President Donald Trump in Georgia and Pennsylvania.
However, election officials warn that the result could change, since the count of tens of thousands of votes by mail and conditional means is continuing.
One candidate needs at least 270 electoral votes to announce the winner.
