This news comes after Pfizer and BioNTech said their vaccine could prevent 90 percent of people from becoming infected with Covid-19, based on a study of 43 thousand and 500 people.
Although Sputnik's data is based on tests on fewer vaccinated people, it confirms, however, promising results.
The Sputnik V vaccine, developed by the National Epdemics and Microbiological Research Centre in Moscow, has already entered phase III of testing in Belarus, the United Emirate, Venezuela and India. /Periscope
