Other suspects are also of foreign origin. They have roots mainly from Chechnya and Southeast Europe.
The investigation of the Austrian Police currently includes 12 suspects. In mid-July, the 20-year-old killer reportedly had travelled to Slovakia with a friend to pick up ammunition for his Kalashnikov. The car he had travelled with belonged to a Kosovar's mother, reports “Heute”.
All these persons involved in the terrorist attack were known on the radical stage for months, even years, the newspapers wrote.
The 20-year-old who also has Albanian roots, but from northern Macedonia, reportedly had bought weapons in Slovakia and has been known for radicalism with a criminal elsewhere.
