Austria's government on Friday ordered the closure of two mosques, attended by an Islamist militant who killed four people in Vienna.
The two mosques are located on the outskirts of Vienna. One is named Melly Ibrahim in the Otakring Circle and the other Tewhid in the Majdling area.
Austria's Integration Minister, Susanne Raab, said the local intelligence agency BVT has estimated that <x0vizita in these mosques has accelerated the radicalisation of the attacker”.
The attacker, identified by Austrian authorities as Cameron Feyzullai, who descended from Northern Macedonia, has carried out the attack Monday, opening fire at six locations in central Vienna.
Two women and two men were killed and 23 were plagoned.
Police have killed the attacker and discovered he has had both Austrian and Macedonian citizenship.
The striker has travelled to Turkey in 2018, in an effort to join the Islamic State militants in Syria, but has been captured and sent back to Austria.
The militant group Islamic State has said it stands behind the attack in Vienna.

On Friday, even police in Germany said they have raided the homes of four people because of alleged links to Vienna's attacker.
Police said they are not considered suspects, but that they have had contact with the attacker, and two of them have met him personally.
The raids were performed in Kassel, Osnabryk and Pineberg, near Hamburg.
Several suspects have been detained in Austria, while investigations have also begun in Switzerland.
