Great Britain's AstraZeneca will conduct additional tests around the world to assess the effectiveness of the vaccine, the chief chief of the company Pascal Soriot announced today, reported by Reuters, referring to Bloomberg agency.
Instead of moving tests to the United States, where Pfizer and Modernna vaccines are close to starting production, new tests will determine whether the lowest doses of vaccine function better than the highest ones, the company announced.
Astra Zeneca, who is working for the new vaccine with Oxford University, is facing unpleasant questions about the effectiveness of the vaccine, so experts say this could slow down the possible speed of approval of the US and EU vaccine.
