Armenia and Azerbaijan exchange dead bodies

Armenia and Azerbaijan on Saturday exchanged the bodies of murdered soldiers who lost their lives during the fighting near the town of Shusha in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, Azerbaijan Ministry of Defence announced. Through a statement, this minister said the troops of the fallen soldiers have gathered with the participation of Russian peacekeeping forces, which are located in the contested region, writes Anadolu.
“As part of this humanitarian action, Armenian Armed Forces troops have gathered and surrendered to the Armenian side. Also within the framework of this action, the bodies of six members of the Azerbaijann Army, who died during battles around the town of Shusha, have been admitted”, the statement said.
Azere authorities expressed gratitude to Russia's Defence Ministry and Minister Sergei Shiog for organising troop exchange between the two sides of the conflict.
On November 10th, Armenia and Azerbaijan, with Russia's mediation, signed ceasefire agreements aimed at finding a comprehensive solution to the long conflict.
In Azerbaijan, this agreement has been celebrated as victory because the Azer forces will keep in check territories won during the fighting that began on September 27th, while in Armenia there have been protests due to discontent over the terms of the agreement.
