Anton Chetta's September to be placed in Philological faculty court

Culture Minister Vlora Dumoshti, at the same time asavist in Pristina's Municipal Assembly, said it is good news that on Anton Chetta's 100th birthday this decision is being made.

“With this September, we will honor the remarkable image of a great man, honor his family, but also ourselves as hosters and representatives of important Kosovo institutions such as the Pristina Community that we are not forgetting our past, but give him the decision deserved for the extraordinary contribution... The location will be at Philological Faculty”, she said.

Some of the Asamblists have demanded that Professor Anton Chetta's September be held at the Albanology Institute, but from the Pristina Community it was said that the location was located in co-ordination with Professor Chetta's family, who said it was supported by September at the Philological Faculty.

Pristina municipality deputy head Muheddin Nushi, except for the location, has also given answers to as to the question that Fehmi Agani's September is at the Philological Faculty.

This location is also the wishes of the organisational committee for the September deployment, but also of the daughter, the family of the late Anton Chetta, respectively. So, around locations, I think the decision or family wishes should be respected. As far as Professor Fehmi Aganni is nearby, I see no problem placing September in that box”, he said.

While the director for Strategic Planning and Sustainable Development in the Pristina Community, Genc Basota, has provided answers to the assistors about dilemmas they have had about when the underground parking lot can be done.

He said the location is impressive and has dignity for Professor Anton Chetta's figure as well.

I think it's a residential location and with dignity for the professor's figure. The underground parking project started as a procedure three years ago and now we're in a realisation phase. The company has been implementing jobs for two months now, 24 months from the moment of meeting preconditions. 18 months from the moment the work started so far, the parking lot had to be completed under contract. Important is the park's section over the parking lot, which will be a public space for citizens”, he said.

He said the place where Anton Cetta's September will rise is the property of the Pristina municipality and there is no property problem.

Anton Chetta is remembered for his wisdom, for the hard work he has done at collecting Albanian folklore.

But its biggest activity is in the movement of reconciliation of the blood in the early 1990s and arrived briefly to wipe out most of the confrontations between Albanians in Kosovo and other Albanian trends. This move led by the wise elder was supported by the students and intellectuals of the day.
