Through a Facebook post, the US Embassy has called for decisive actions to reduce the spread of COVID-19, while it has shown that they themselves have taken seriously the respect and measures appointed by the Government of Kosovo and health institutions, eliminating almost all meetings.
“Decisive action is required to reduce further transmission. Prevention measures are effective only if they are followed and implemented. Government, employers, and individuals all share responsibility in this war. As the employer of over 500 people, the embassy takes this responsibility seriously. By maximized the telephone work, eliminating all meetings except the essential ones and implementing the mask, we are protecting our employees and their families. We encourage other employers to do the same”, says the US Embassy's response.
The recent days in Kosovo are increasingly the daily number of victims from the Coronavirus and the number of infected alike. In the last 24 hours alone, the Kosovo National Institute of Public Health has reported 9 victims and 486 new cases. Because of this increase, the Kosovo government has undertaken a series of new restrictive measures that have entered into force from today.
