President Vjosa Osmani's duty has decorated, post mortem, with the Presidential Medal of Merit health workers who, while at the front line of the struggle with pandemic, have been infected with COVID-19 and lost their lives.

Such a move is seen as very good news by the chairman of the Kosovo Medical House Plerat Sejdiu.

The “was good news, but not surprising for us, because we had coordinates with the presidency office. A very good initiative, and I think that at least this is an expression of the greatest support that can be given to doctors and health workers in fighting the pandemic”.

Sejdiu, in the special edition in Klan Kosova, has shown that from the beginning of the pandemic so far there are over 750 doctors who have been infected by COVID-19.

In the last three weeks, the number of infected doctors has increased, proportioning to increasing population infections. At this moment, according to yesterday's information, we have over 70 doctors who are isolated. It's a very large number, given that some of them have been infected, but they're not fully cured for active work, then this number goes to over 100, and that's a very large epidep when we're considering that most of them are actually the first peddling patients with COVID-19. There's a Monday in all this fight”

Could a lack of staff cause trouble in treating coronary patients?

The QKUK itself's <x0rahs are regional hospitals and we've known from the very beginning that these are weak arms due to the lack of lemit specialists that should deal with this war, so it's overloaded. QKUK”

The chairman of the Kosovo Medical Oda has said that treatment of doctors and other health staff by the government leaves much to be desired.

“We can't say that everything is okay, but if we consider the position of the Government of Kosovo itself, then it may be acknowledged that it is fair treatment, but I think that big mistakes at the level of government, of the technocrats that have been taken with the organisation or flow of patient management, have been lost a golden time of ceasefire with the virus during September, and that hasn't been made a literal preparation, since this is expected to happen in the last six weeks --”

He has also talked about the 300-euro extensions, which have been shared by the government, which doctors have not received for September.

This is about non-organization, because since the adoption of the law on fighting the COVID-19 pandemic has had to start logistical preparations since then that health workers have the additions for riskability since September. Months of nights and October have passed, until the month of November is almost over, then all that remains is that we hope to get it before New Year's Eve, but that's inconsistent. This is a despondency, but not demotivatement for work -- doctors and other health workers will do the work, despite the lame in fulfilling the government's promises. We are dedicated to the patient and not to what Santa will bring us”.
