The 23-year-old testimony against former minister: “shut the door with a key, stopped the light and tried to kiss me”

He grabbed my right hand and put me in. He locked the door and stopped the light. He tried to kiss me and touch me on my back, but he couldn't because I didn't let him push him. When I asked him to open the door, because I'd call security, he told me “I just wanted to measure their pulse”, It's the victim's testimony for the night he was attacked by physician Numan Balic at Paya Hospital.

The indictment is said to have deliberately misused the victim's health condition on the evening of August 12th this year, about 22: 00 a.m., Balic in the quality of the health profession, with no sexual intention, without consent.

According to the indictment, the victim had believed in the doctor's uniform, so he had gone to consult her about his daughter's health.

The damaged “later added that the accused never before (in the date of admission until the critical night, had not been to control the child) and that that that night damaged by believing in his uniform and from the need for help of the child, he has gone to his” office, the indictment points out.

Asked whether doctors recommended it for equipment regarding the girl's extremes, the victim responded to “po”, but has stated that the doctors have said that those tools should be bought personally and not given to the hospital.

The victim has denied that he has asked the suspect to talk to other doctors or to the hospital director to provide the equipment for the girl.

What do the witnesses say?

The Witness who had been in the room with the injury stated that the night she was in the “sleep bar” and injured has returned very worried to the room and called the hospital insurance, later told the witness to tell the “to rape my doctor”.

Meanwhile, the other witness has stated that he went to the hospital that night at their request for disinfectation and after he arrived at the Emergency, right through the window of Orthopedapi was called injured (who he knows he was neighboring) and asked him to go to her room, but that he had initially refused while a colleague told him “that there was something wrong earlier<1>.

When the same man left, the injured told him about the case -- not knowing the doctor, only described him -- and she had initially asked the witness to help escape the hospital, but when the witness refused, the victim had asked him for his phone and had reported the case to the police.

He also added that “...he knew it was Dr. Numan” because he knows the same after working in the surgery department and that his office (room) is located in the place he described and damaged.

He also made it known that after he got there, the victim came out of the room in the hall and told him he had a problem with a doctor <x0-Bosnian” and was worried and teary.

The witness has claimed that the victim has described the doctor in question only as a Bosniak, old, gray hair. He didn't know who he was at first, but he suspected he might be Dr. Numan, knowing that the same night he was a steward.

He has claimed that the hospital staff's collective has asked him to talk to the victim to ask her to withdraw the denouncing, but after he has told her those words, he has also told “about the matter himself.

What did Numan Balic say at the Court?

On Wednesday, a second review hearing was held against accused of sexual assault at the workplace, Numan Balic.

He was acquitted of the work he is accused of, until he said the case is a slander and scenario prepared by himself damaged.

Balic said this whole case has been installed by injury, hospital guard and many other political people aimed at eliminating it physically.

As far as the character of the matter has been raised against me, I want to emphasize that it is an ordinarian slander and a scenario prepared by patient A. I, which I do not know and have not seen in my life, then the guard, are powerful people who are opposed to politics, who have political backing from the major parties in Pristina, who participate even in the current government, with the sole purpose of eliminating the physical elimination of Numan Balliq, his public stain and the damage to the image of a man who has been recognised in Kosovo as an honest, moral man and one who has contributed much to Albanians and Kosovo, Balic said.

Balic was charged with sexual assault two years ago.

On September 12th, 2018, a 17-year-old had accused surgeon Numan Balic of sexually molesting him.

The 17-year-old was attending practical lessons in this hospital, where she even claimed to have been sexually harassed by the former minister.

Baliq called these political opponents' monsters.

He had claimed to know the girl and, according to him, the juvenile family are close to his political rivals, but for whom he has not mentioned names.

“Rest is slander, that's not true. I know the girl. I had a student. I also know her family, and they are close to my political rivals, of whom I do not want to name names. Yes, justice will soon dawn this case”, Balic said.

Balic had been suspended from work in February 2019, for he had been convicted of sexual assault.

In August 2019, Balic was released from the indictment, declaring himself innocent.
