23 years from first frontal fighting between KLA and Serbian police forces

On November 25th 1997, Kosovo Liberation Army forces led by the legendary commander, Adem Jashari, attacked Serb police forces in Skyeraj's Vonik, which withdrew in defeat.

The next day, enemy forces had launched an expedition of dozens of armoured vehicles to Vojnik.

Adem Jashar, with 10 warriors, was ambushed, and after four hours of fierce fighting, police forces withdrew bloody. In their retirement, Serb forces, savaged by the shocks that were given to Adam Jashar, began to shoot mercilessly at anyone they saw, and in the village of Lausa they killed teacher Halit Geci, at the school door, who was buried at a large ceremony the next day, November 28, 1997, Kosovo Press broadcasts.
