115m euros less access to Customs due to pandemic

115m euros, or 11 per cent, have been collected from Kosovo Customs since the beginning of 2020. Since the same period last year, Customs has managed to raise 972m euros, although at the beginning of this year, the performance of revenues was satisfactory, the decline of revenues [...]
Although at the beginning of this year, the performance of revenues was enjoyable, the decline in revenues began with confirmation of the first cases with Covid-19.
But these revenues, according to Dogan's spokesman, the Adriatic Stavileci, have begun to improve in recent months, where, according to him, there is gradual growth and return from normality.
If you look at revenues from the beginning of the year until the end of October, we've noticed that the beginning of the year has been quite good in the income performance, but because of the pandemic and the reduction of daily consumption and fall of various prices, we've seen the slow-down in this year”, he said.
If viewed in terms of the percentage, the last few weeks has begun to improve revenues and has started to have a gradual increase and the return of the normal revenue collection curve. In statistical terms whether in 2019 we have had 972m euros collected so far, then this year we have 857m euros, so that's about 115m euros less income or 11 percent than last year”, Stavileci has declared,
And this pandemic situation, according to Stavileci, has been able to produce even worse scenarios where, according to him, the revenues could get worse.
The Online Economics Stavileci has said that they have entered an income recovery phase that has not been able to gather at the peak of the pandemic
I believe that there have been scenarios that the revenues could be damaged more, but yet the input performance is directly linked to the overall performance of Kosovo's economy, because it's connected to international trade and all aspects, at the moment of slowing down international trade, normally we've had expectations that we have been waiting to have a drop in revenues, but falling in a certain period has gone by 130 million less, while we're still in that phase that we're recovering these incomes that didn't get together at the height without being told.
Speaking of inflows from Dogan, the spokesman for this institution has said that by the end of this year they are aiming to raise another 200m euros to reach the goal of collecting 1 billion euros.
We expect that within the remaining 200 million months until the end of the year we try to raise more than 200m euros by the end of the year, with the 200m euros to exceed the limit we had over 1 billion euros collected for the state budget, but it seems that it is difficult because of the pandemic situation affects the performance of revenues”, Stavileci said.
