Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq hopes the EU realises Serbia is ready for conversation and compromise in dialogue with Kosovo, but not for an ultimatum and unilateral messages.
Asked about the EU envoy's statement of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak that he expects a broad decision on Kosovo, Vucic said he expects an accurate conversation with Lajcak and pressure from several major countries, Serbian media reported.
He hopes the EU will realise that someone cannot sign the agreement and then adopt a resolution denying the existence of Serb municipalities or saying Serbia should recognise Kosovo's independence.
This is impossible”, Vuciq said.
He noted that the essence is that Albanians expect someone to pressure Serbia and that they will say “we will sign it”.
I expect pressure in the future, I don't think it's going to do Lajcak, they're going to do some big places, which means if you admit it, we're going to hit you in the head, you're going to be a big Democrat, and if not, then you're going to be the biggest autocrat, he said.
